RFC Editor plain-text edition, complete except for the table of contents, whose page numbers have no meaning on a single page. The heading block and the abstract are set as the header of the poster; the status of the memo and the copyright notice stay at the head of the text, and the copyright line is repeated in the footer; page headers and footers are left out.

RFC 6214 is an Independent Submission published on 1 April 2011, so the IETF Trust Legal Provisions (TLP) version 4.0, effective 28 December 2009, apply (https://web.archive.org/web/20140919033142/http://trustee.ietf.org/license-info/IETF-TLP-4.pdf). Section 8.f applies them to the Independent Submission Stream from 28 December 2009, and section 8.c.iii says that for Alternate Stream documents the grant of section 3.a “shall not be limited to the IETF Standards Process”: a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license “to copy, publish, display and distribute IETF Contributions and IETF Documents, in whole or in part”. Section 3.d.ii grants no license to distribute them “without the required legends and notices”, so the poster keeps the copyright notice of the RFC in full (at the head of the text, and its first line in the footer). The code component (BSD) terms of section 4 do not apply to this stream (section 8.f) and the RFC contains no code.
